We prefer to use freerange, happy meat so Rob places the emphasis on quality when purchasing, we need the quality to ensure that our customers return week on week and although he does his best to keep the price down, compromise is not an option.

We don’t necessarily stock accredited organic meats as standard but we are happy to aquire whatever you need.

The meat that goes into our burgers and sausages is all prime quality we believe that to produce the best you have to start with the best. No mechanically recovered meat stuff in Wrightons!

All sausages are made on our premises by Gordon & Shaun. Country Pork and Fritwell Rose are made every week and then we like to ring the changes with other varieties each week. Tasters are usually available on a Saturday morning.

So from pampered prize winning cattle, and serene sheep to woodland wandering pigs you can be sure your meat comes from a happy source.

We also stock a full complement of game in season, along with Venison all year round.

We do have access to some of the more unusual meats like: Kangaroo, Alligator and Ostrich, so if you feel like something a little different have a chat with the boys and we’ll see what we can do.

The Pies that we sell in the shop are generally supplied by a company in the Cotswolds but I am quite happy to make hand raised pies to order. Yes my pies have won awards, but who am I to boast.
